2022 Greetings card
I usually create a greetings card for dear clients and friends sending good vibes for the year that is about to start. I've been sending the original pieces the last few years, but I decided to do something new this time. Although I love handmade work, I wasn't taking full advantage of the digital features that I also love, and in my opinion, knowing how to move between the two worlds can create even more unique and incredible pieces.
With that in mind, I created this piece interchanging between the two worlds, and I think the timing couldn't be better. Because instead of sending the physical postcards (which would need to be printed, packaged, and shipped worldwide), I can now send the "digital originals" as NFTs with a video of the work being created rather than the finished piece, and seeing these two worlds interacting! In addition, I minted a limited amount of NFTs on the blockchain because they need to be unique. So my clients, friends (maybe you?) can keep it in their collections or airdrop it for their loved ones, or even sell it if they wish.
As the analog and digital features are better together, working together is also better. For example, I'm a calligraphy and lettering artist, and as a specialist, working together with other professionals is much better. Mixing experts from several areas in a project (art directors, lettering artists, illustrators, photographers, musicians, 3D artists etc.), the result is incredibly better!
So this is my wish for 2022. Put together the techniques and also stay together, together with skilled professionals, together with other artists, together with students who want to learn, together with friends, together with the people we love... because it's
BETTER TOGETHER!
BETTER TOGETHER!
Limited NFT collection on Tezos
I minted a limited NFT collection of this piece in Tezos. I'm sending some of it to my clients and friends, and others are available on Rarible! So hurry up if you don't want to miss it.
Does NFT sound weird to you?
Check out below some tips that may help you.
*But What The Heck Is A NFT?
From CNN: "Non-fungible tokens, or NFTs, are pieces of digital content linked to the blockchain, the digital database underpinning cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin and Ethereum. Unlike NFTs, those assets are fungible, meaning they can be replaced or exchanged with another identical one of the same value, much like a dollar bill.
NFTs, on the other hand, are unique and not mutually interchangeable, which means no two NFTs are the same."
Ethereum is the most famous blockchain for NFTs, but it's the most expensive one because of the high gas fees (a kind of tax to do the transactions) and also, at the moment, is not environmentally friendly. They are trying to solve the problem of carbon footprint by mid-2022.
Tezos and Solana, however, are less popular, but they are called clean NFT because they are proof-of-stake blockchains. As a result, they use far less energy and have attracted incredible creators and collectors. The gas fees also in these blockchains are fair. That is the reason why I chose Tezos for this collection.
What do you need to buy an NFT?
First, you need to install a crypto wallet and add some crypto inside it. For each cryptocurrency, you need a wallet. I recommend you install Temple Wallet for Tezos blockchain to get one of these new collections, and you can use Metamask for NFTs in Ethereum if you want to check other ones.
